On Friday, Feb. 28, former Halifax County High School standout Kamyria Woody-Giggetts’ current college team, the Virginia Cavaliers, won 8-0 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Cornell Big Red.
The game took place at Palmer Park. This was their first matchup against the Big Red this season.
The Cavaliers’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 28 at 4 p.m. at Palmer Park against Seton Hall Pirates.
