On Saturday, March 1, former Bassett High School standout Hunter Whitlow’s current college team, the Averett Cougars, won 16-2 in their NCAA Division III baseball game against the Southern Virginia Knights.

The game took place at Harvey-Dryden Field. This was their first matchup against the Knights this season.

The Cougars’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 3 p.m. at Harvey-Dryden Field against Southern Virginia Knights.
