Hurricane Season Preparedness
Are you ready?
Hurricane season begins on June 1st, and continues through November 30th. Make sure you and your loved ones are prepared before the storm arrives.
Do you Know Your Zone?
The Virginia Department of Emergency Management uses a tiered evacuation system. What does that mean for you? Your address is located in a zone. Knowing the zone in which you live or work allows you to know when you need to evacuate. Visit www.KnowYourZoneVA.org to Know Your Zone, and to learn more about how Emergency Management will use those zones during an evacuation.
