Patrick Henry Community College issued the following announcement on Sept. 24
The PHC men’s soccer team recently played two games. In the first, the Sentinels lost to longtime rival, Christendom, 3-0 at home and then went on the road to play against Mid-Atlantic Christian. In a tightly contested match, the game concluded in a draw with a score of 2-2.
Head coach Ben Purnell said he's encouraged with where the team is now and hopes to continue improving the team's proficiency in the coming games.
"With the way our guys played, we should have won, to be honest, but I'm not going to complain about going on the road against a tough, well-coached team and getting a tie," Purnell said.
