Averett University Athletics issued the following announcement on Dec. 29
Averett University's men's wrestling team will not compete on Jan. 1 after host Washington and Lee University announced it was canceling the Jim Crytzer Memorial Tournament.
Washington and Lee announced Wednesday that the event was called off "due to a variety of factors."
