City of Danville issued the following announcement on Jan. 11
The Danville Planning Commission on Monday re-elected Harold Garrison to serve another one-year term as chairman. The vote was unanimous.
Garrison has served as chairman since 2020.
The board also unanimously elected Steve Petrick as vice chairman and Jimmie Bolton as secretary. They also will serve one-year terms.
The commission is a seven-member board appointed by the City Council to review applications, hold public hearings, and make recommendations on rezoning applications, special use permit applications and zoning code amendment applications. Recommendations are sent to the City Council for final action.
The commission also reviews and has the authority to approve or deny major subdivision plats.
Meetings are held at 3 p.m. on the first Monday after the first Tuesday of every month as needed in City Council Chambers, which is located on the fourth floor of the Municipal Building. River City TV airs the meetings.
