Currently both camps are full. If you are still interested in a summer experience for your child, consider offerings at The Prizery or the Wendell Scott Foundation’s Camp Cultivation for 11th & 12th grade students.
Rising 8th-12th graders in southern Virginia are invited to attend a free career focused camp at SVHEC. This July, SVHEC will host two camps to provide students with an opportunity to explore in-demand careers in the region.
The Health Careers camp will be held July 11-15 and the Information Technology (IT) camp will be held July 11-14.
Both camps will run from 9:00am-2:30pm and lunch and snacks will be provided. There is no cost to attend thanks to a generous sponsorship from GO Virginia Region 3.
During the camp, students will explore career pathways through a series of hands-on activities and meeting with industry leaders and professionals. Students who attend the IT camp will also see IT is incorporated into a wide variety of careers like energy and robotics.
