Of the 60,867 citizens living in Pittsylvania County in 2020, 49,422 were old enough to vote as of March 26, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 25,188 of those people were female and 24,234 were male.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.

Statistical data for 2021 will be released later this year.
