Ronnie Duffy, the District 4 member of the Halifax County Board of Supervisors, has received a key endorsement in his re-election bid. RED PAC, a political action committee, has chosen to endorse Duffy based on his fiscal responsibility, commitment to private property rights, advocacy for rural economic development, and dedication to government transparency.

This endorsement comes as Halifax County prepares for elections on Tuesday, Nov. 7. The elections will include the Board of Supervisors elections for five of the eight districts, as well as a tiebreaker. District terms are for four years.

Duffy, who has been the District 4 incumbent since January 2020, is running for re-election as an Independent, according to vpap.org.

During his tenure on the Board of Supervisors, Duffy has been instrumental in bringing economic growth to Halifax County. Golden Piedmont Labs, Hitachi Energy, and IperionX, a titanium manufacturer, have all announced plans to invest in the county and create new jobs. In total, these investments amount to $122.26 million, according to Duffy.

RED PAC, in a release announcing their endorsement of Duffy and other candidates in Virginia, praised their commitment to conservative principles and their dedication to transparency, fiscal prudence, and local economic advancement.

In a release announcing the group's endorsement of Duffy on the platform X, and other candidates throughout Virginia, Kevin Gardner, Executive Director of RED PAC said "these candidates embody core conservative principles. Their unwavering commitment to transparency, fiscal prudence, and local economic advancement will surely benefit their constituencies."

Prior to serving on the Board of Supervisors, Duffy also served on the Halifax Town Council. He retired from his Council position in October 2015. In addition to his public service, Duffy works as a special education teacher at Halifax County High School.

With the endorsement of RED PAC, Duffy's re-election bid for the District 4 seat on the Halifax County Board of Supervisors gains significant support. His track record of economic development and commitment to conservative principles have resonated with RED PAC and are likely to resonate with voters as well.
