Virginia Rep. Ben Cline joins secret delegation to Northwest Syria, urges continued pressure on Assad

Rep. Ben Cline (R-Va.) was one of three Republican members of Congress who traveled to opposition-held northwest Syria on Aug. 27 to advocate for sustained international pressure on the regime of President Bashar Assad in the first known trip by U.S. lawmakers to that war-torn area in six years, ABC News reported.

John Stirrup is one of seven candidates that were endorsed by the American Federation for Children to win in the Virginia primaries held on June 20. He will run for a seat to represent District 21 on the November 7 ballot.
