Danville Transit is seeking opinions regarding public transportation in the region. The survey will help Danville Transit learn which public transportation priorities are most important for area residents.
Every six years, Virginia transit systems complete a transit development plan update that addresses service delivery issues and capital needs. This survey will be completed as part of the transit study.
The survey is accessible through the following link and QR code: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Danville2022TDP
For those without computer access, paper copies of the survey are available at the Danville Transit Hub, 522 Spring St.
Surveys need to be completed by June 15, 2022.
In addition to the public opinion survey, a rider survey is being conducted aboard the buses. These surveys are part of the data collection effort for a Transit Development Plan (TDP) that is underway for Danville Transit. The purpose of the TDP is to develop a 10-year plan to maintain and improve public transportation services in the region.
The TDP is being conducted by the KFH Group, a consulting firm that specializes in the transit industry, with funding assistance through the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation. A draft of the TDP is scheduled to be completed by the end of December.
