Creative Arts Center to host Rag-Rug Weaving Class

Award winning textile artist Cecelia Cassady will lead a class in the ancient art of rag-rug weaving on Tuesdays in November from 1-4 p.m. at the Reynolds Homestead's Creative Art Center in Stuart, located at 334 Patrick Avenue in Stuart, Va. Cassady is the founder of the Reynolds Homestead Weavers Exchange Guild. The class is suitable for beginners and participants will have the opportunity to learn how to operate looms as they create a kitchen or bath rug for their home. The class is limited to six participants in order for Cassady to provide individual instruction. The cost for the class is $175. Pre-registration is required. Students are required to bring 6 yards of colorful cloth of their choice a pair of scissors, and a tape measure. All other supplies are provided.
