Women's basketball's Prosper earns Academic All-District honors from College Sports Communicators
Averett University women's basketball junior Talia Prosper earned 2022-23 Academic All-District honors as selected by the College Sports Communicators, the organization announced.
Prosper, a guard from Manassas, Virginia, played in all 25 games and made 23 starts for the Cougars this season. She averaged 8.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.5 assists per game. Off the court, Prosper has a 3.68 grade point average while majoring in nursing. She is also her class' president for Student Government Association for the third consecutive year, a two-time president of Sister 4 Sister, the Black Student Union communications chair, a presidential ambassador, a resident assistant since sophomore year, a member of Averett's inagural women's track and field team, a member of the International Life Club and a member of the Student Nurse Association.
