Nancy Eanes, the interim Dan River District member of the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors, has received the endorsement of RED PAC as she seeks a full term in the position. RED PAC has chosen to endorse Eanes based on her fiscal responsibility, commitments to conserve private property rights, advocacy for rural economic development, and commitment to government transparency.
According to the Pittsylvania County website, the County is holding elections on Tuesday, Nov. 7, which includes the board of supervisor elections. Eanes is running for the board of supervisors to represent the Dan River District. She is currently serving on the board as an interim representative, and the upcoming election is a special election for that seat. Eanes is running as a Republican.
Eanes' campaign platform consists of promoting economic development, supporting current jobs and bringing new ones to Pittsylvania County, and improving relationships between various local government divisions and departments. She also emphasizes her commitment to upholding both the U.S. and Virginia Constitutions.
In a release, on the platform X, announcing the group's endorsement of Eanes, and other candidates throughout Virginia, Kevin Gardner, Executive Director of RED PAC said "these candidates embody core conservative principles. Their unwavering commitment to transparency, fiscal prudence, and local economic advancement will surely benefit their constituencies."
The Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors is responsible for appointing the County Administrator, establishing policy, passing and repealing county ordinances, and approving the final annual budget. There are seven members who serve on the board, according to the Pittsylvania County website.
Prior to retiring in 2014, Eanes worked for ten years at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research. Before that, she worked for 19 years at the Danville Regional Medical Center (now Sovah Health). She has also served as chair for the Department of Social Services Board and on the County Board of Assessors.
